LABOA, Lekeitiotik Hegan, is a multidisciplinary project with the aim of immersing the spectator in the creative and experimental universe of Mikel Laboa, through the hybridisation of the visual arts and contemporary music. A musical programme of pieces composed by Maria Eugenia Lluc or Zuriñe F. Gerenabarrena among others, under the direction of Andrea Cazzaniga, which connect different concepts of Laboa’s universe with other pieces of modern inspiration. To delve deeper into Laboa’s universe, at elektr.art we created an imaginary of digital art pieces with a strong organic character, connected to nature and coming to life in the darkness of the stage.
The work, co-produced by the Loraldia Festival, together with Ensemble Kuraia and elektr.art, was premiered on the stage of the Arriaga Theatre in Bilbao, uniting the traditional architecture of the theatre itself, with the experimentation and innovation of Mikel Laboa’s universe together with our visual and digital art creations.
