Together with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Cantábrico (OSCAN) under the direction of Paula Sumillera, and the Galician pianist Isabel Dobarro, we have designed a visual music performance that combines contemporary music and digital art. A performance that pays tribute to Clara Schumann, an outstanding composer who achieved recognition in a predominantly male musical field.
Using different contact microphones installed on Isabel Dobarro’s piano, we have produced three different scenes that connect the origin of life with the String Theory that tries to shed light on the origin of the universe through the creation of sub particles by forces that vibrate small strings in the universe, creating organic visuals that come to life through the music of the piano on stage. The final result has been a highly emotional musical and visual spectacle, which has managed to hybridize different creative disciplines and technologies to offer the public a new innovative cultural product.
The concert was the debut of the international concert pianist at the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria.
