SOLSTICIO is an ephemeral light and sound installation that proposes to celebrate the astronomical alignment that brings to the whole planet the change of seasons. This celebration, in the darkest days of the year in our hemisphere, produced because the Earth’s rotation axis is tilted with respect to the Earth’s orbit around the Sun, is a tribute to winter, when the northern hemisphere is farthest from the center star of our planetary system. It is a light and sound installation, premiered outside the Euskalduna Palace in Bibao. A musical synchrony, under the concepts of ‘The sun and the cosmic dance’; ‘The forest, life’; ‘The mystery. Flora and fauna’ and ‘Time and cycles’.
A vibrant, immersive, contemplative and playful artistic experience. It invites the viewer to the urban disconnection and to feel the visual and sound rhythms connected with this singular nature.
